Photo Reflection

Photography is something I have been interested in since early high school. I mostly like to take portraits, landscape shots, and up close detailed shots. I still do take a lot of photos but usually not in the artistic ways I used to. Now, it’s mostly pictures of my friends and I when we’re doing fun things. I would say almost every photo I take I’m trying to capture a particular feeling, when I’m with my friends I’m trying to depict happiness. When I take pictures when I am trying to take them artistically I try and convey all kids of emotions. Sadness, loneliness, happiness, gladness, etc… I would say I’m pretty successful with this and despite the fact that a lot of the things I take pictures of don’t have emotion, but the way I edit it helps convey the emotion I have in mind for the photo. I would love to experiment with depth I don’t think it’s something I’ve done too often. I think one thing I do well is pay attention to the moment because most of my photos are on a whim vs me going out and looking for them and setting them up. I would absolutely love to use a different lenses, most of mine are from my grandmas professional camera or my phone. Mostly my phone. One day I would love to own my own professional camera so my shots can be that much better.
